The ERF Disaster Reserve gives members of the public a flexible way to express interest in supporting their community during major emergencies and large-scale disaster response activations. There are no regular hourly requirements, and reserve members are contacted only when significant operational needs arise.
Submitting an interest form does not guarantee acceptance, activation, deployment, assignment, or active ERF membership. Applications are reviewed based on qualifications and operational needs.
A Reserve Role for Major Emergencies.
During hurricanes, flooding, large-scale disasters, or other significant emergencies, communities may need additional trained and community-based support. The ERF Disaster Reserve is intended for people who want to be considered for activation during these major events without committing to routine volunteer hours or regular shifts.
No Regular Hour Requirement
Disaster Reserve members do not have required routine volunteer hours or recurring shift obligations through this reserve status.
Activated Only During Major Needs
Eligible reserve members may be contacted only when ERF requires additional support during a major emergency or significant operational activation.

How Disaster Reserve Status Works
Submit Your Interest
Complete the Disaster Reserve form with your contact information, skills, availability, and any applicable EMT or Paramedic credential details.
Application Review
ERF reviews each submission to determine potential reserve eligibility and appropriate areas of support.
Remain on Reserve Status
Approved reserve members have no regular hourly requirement and remain available for possible major emergency activation.
Respond if Activated
If ERF activates reserve resources, eligible members may be contacted with instructions and next steps based on the emergency need.
Disaster Reserve applicants may not perform medical, operational, or emergency response duties unless and until ERF has completed any required review, credential verification, onboarding, approval, and assignment process.
Disaster Reserve Member Interest Form
Active EMTs and Paramedics may submit their information to be considered for ERF Disaster Reserve status. Florida, out-of-state, and NREMT credentials may be submitted for review. All credentials must be active and are subject to verification before any assignment or activation. Reserve members have no regular hourly requirement and may be contacted only during major emergencies or significant operational activations.
